Tuesday, September 9, 2013: Chapter 1 Wellness and Food Choices Test...


Standards: Hum-FNW-3. Analyze factors that influence food choices and quality of diet.

                         
Opening Warm-up AND/OR Activator (highlight one):  Name your favorite ethnic dish. Explain why?

 
Work Session:1. Chapter 1 Test Wellness and Food Choices

 After the test: Chapter 3: Food and Culture (teacher will revisit standard and EQ)

2. Students will work on 6-point graphic organizer “Your food choices” give two facts/examples for each influence.

3. Students will work on Quick Write: Using a narrative. They wil write a short narrative about their first encounter with a “new food”.

4. Students will work on Content and Academic Vocabulary.

 Closing/Summarizer: Exit ticket: I was surprised to learn that….
