HBCU Night:


South Cobb High School, in partnership with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Rho Zeta Omega Chapter and The PEARL Foundation, Inc. present The HBCU Experience:  The Life, The Legacy. The Love.  Attached you will find the advertisement for this event.

When:  Wednesday, October 10, 2018 (This is the same day as the PSAT and College Fair.)
Time:  6-7 pm in the Theater.

Please come out to hear alumni from HBCUs talk about their journey to and through college.  This event is open to all students and their parents.

On Tuesday, September 18, 2018, there will be a TITLE I STATE OF THE SCHOOL cluster meeting held at Floyd Middle School beginning at 6:00 p.m.. 
Participating schools include: Austell, Sanders, Floyd, Garrett, and South Cobb.
If you have children in any of these schools, we encourage you to come learn about the following topics:
  • TITLE I SPEND-ING ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL TRANSITIONS;
  • HIGH SCHOOL SCHEDULES and ;
  • how the Title I Department benefits all families and students
SOUTH COBB FAMILY, LET'S SHOW UP AND STAND OUT while learning about TItle I works to improve the student's academic environment.

“Attention Free and Reduced meal students!  If you and your parents have not submitted an application for free and reduced priced meals for this school year, you must do so by Wednesday, September 12th by midnight. Even if you are currently getting free or reduced meals, your parents may not have filled out an application for this school year. If you don’t submit a new application by this deadline you will have to pay full price for your meals. If you have any questions please contact one of the food court associates.”
