Assess the effects of lifestyle, income, health, and other factors on food
selection and nutrition at different stages in the lifespan.
Opening Warm-up AND/OR Activator (highlight
one): One paragraph biographical description of their families food
beliefs, and habits. They must incorporate the following four terms: ethnic group, ethnic food, food norm,
and food taboo.
Work Session:Teacher will
explain the directions, expectations, and rubric for Origin of Common Food
project. Q & A
Students will work on project in
the computer lab.
Daily Homework:
: Handout: How do
Friends Influence Food Choices-Activity B, WB, Students will interview teens about the
influence friends have on their food choices. Then students will complile their
findings and draw conclusions.
