Standards: Hum-FNW-3. Analyze factors that influence food choices and quality of diet.


Opening Warm-up AND/OR Activator (highlight one): Bellwork: Hunger. Students will read the prompt and complete the student activity.

 

Chapter 1 Wellness and Food Choices


Work Session: 3rd block: School-wide Writing Activity.

Students will work on Chapter 1 Assignment sheet:

 Independent assignments 1.Students will complete Chapter “My Wellness” graphic organizer.

2. Students will complete chapter 1 Wellness and Food Choices vocabulary p.7

3. Writing Activity: Freewriting (prompt p.4)

4. Students will  complete Review Key concepts p.15 –all the questions- *write the questions* {1-5}

5. Complete reading check questions p. 8,15 & 20. *write the questions*

6. Chapter 1 Worksheet Test Taking skills p.6

 

Closing/Summarizer:  Activity: You are what you eat…Students will draw themselves according to what they ate the last 24 hours. *Share responses*
