Warm Up:
What weather related considerations played a part in the clothing you chose today?


Instructional Plan:1. Whole group we will discuss 19-1 Topic Terms and Check it Out! questions.
2. RF- Physical Needs in Clothing Decisions: handout will reinforce student's understanding of factors that influence physical needs for clothing. Students will describe how physical needs are being met in each of the fiven examples.
3. Student volunteer will read Dress Codes p. 534 We will review PHS dress code policy: Students will hold a debate on the merits of school uniforms. They will be divided into two teams: pros vs. cons of wearing school uniforms.

Warm Up:
Do clothes really affect behavior? Students will share at least one example to support their opinions.

Instructional Plan: 1.Student volunteer will read "Special Needs" p. 535
2. Choosing clothes for Specific Occasions- Student will read textbook p. 535 and complete handout: Dressed for the Occasion.
3. ER- Choosing Clothes, Activity A, SAG. students will use magazines or catalogs to find approriate clothes for each of the four given occassions and mount them on the page.

Warm Up: Discuss TOTD from last week: ideal caregiver as a child
Instructional Plan:1. Complete and Check: Check it out! questions
2. RF (TRG) Wanted: Child Cargiver poster : discussion of desirable characteristics of child caregivers.
3. RF (TRG). Parents' rights and responsibilities go hand in hand: Students will lay one hand flat on a sheet of paper and draw around it. Then place their other hand beside the sketch and draw around it. Label one hand Right and other Responsiblity. Each student will think of a parent's right and write it in the righ hand, then think of a corresponding responsibility to write in the other hand. Class discussion on the rights and responsilbilties.
