Instructional Plan: 1. Student Interest Inventory
2. Mission Statement & Goal Activity ( PPT, index cards & colored contstruction paper)
3. Intro. Activity: Cuisine..after reading brief introduction of cuisine, they will describe their first experience with a new cuisine; by answering a few questions. They will share with the class.4. Video: The meaning of food: students will complete a 3-2-1 handout with the video.

Instructional Plan: 1. Video: The Meaning of Food students will complete a 3-2-1 handout with the video.
2. Bellwork assignment: Culture~ student will read brief bio about culture and describe their favorite holiday traditions and foods and explain what makes them special to them. Students will share with the class.Closing Summarizer: One thing I am looking forward to learning about in Introduction to Culinary Arts.
