A McDonald's in Marietta failed a routine inspection after an official noted employees not washing their hands properly.
The fast food location at 1195 Powder Springs Road in Cobb County scored 68 points on a report, a failing grade.
Food contact surfaces were not cleaned or sanitized correctly, according to the report. There was also a presence of insects, rodents or animals, and a lack of sufficient management presence, according to the Cobb Douglass Health Department.
The Atlanta Journal-Consitution was unable to reach management at the location for comment.
McDonald's issued a statement saying "our team worked aggressively to correct the issues identified in the initial inspection, and we look forward to a positive report once the re-inspection is scheduled in the very near future.”
