FNW: Weekly Agenda September 14, 2015

Tuesday. 9-15-15

Curriculum Standards:
HUM-FNW-3
Analyze factors that influence food choices and quality of diet

Essential Questions:

How does the world around you (socio-economic status, religion, environment, etc.) affect your food choices?
What is the relationship between the food we eat and where it is grown?  Chapter 4 Food and the Marketplace

Bellwork:     Watch a section of  Meaning of Food- class discussion. {Whaling)

Work Session:

1. Students will present Ethnic Cuisine Research Project.  Students answered guided questions will present technology component,


Closing:

Students will write down one thing that learned during the presentations.


Wednesday. 9-16-15


Bellwork:  List the 1st and 3rd step in the Farm to the Table

Work Session:  1. Students will present Ethnic Cuisine Research Project.  Students answered guided questions will present technology component.

Closing:  Students will write down one thing that learned during the presentations.


Thursday. 9-17-15

Bellwork:    Watch a section of  Meaning of Food- class discussion. Hawaiian

Work Session

1.
Complete any Ethnic Cuisine Presentations.

 2. Students will watch DVD Nutrition: Where does our food come from? Students will complete Video Notes: What I saw/What I heard. *Share responses*

Friday. 9-18-15

Bellwork:  Peterson Brothers Farming video Clip
2. List the 2nd and 4th step in the Farm to the Table

Work Session:

Direct Instruction: Students will take notes with the PowerPoint (Chapter 4)
2. Class will check Chapter 4 handouts.

3. Teacher will check off Chapter 4 graphic organizer.
