Work Session: 1. Direct Instruction:  Teacher will present notes on career development. Students will write the notes to prepare for Career Exploration Quiz.

2. Discuss Career Vocabulary words and give examples.

3. Students will watch two clips form Pursuit of Happyness video {big interview & internship}

Closing/Summarizer:  Class ender: Job Search. Students will read the passage and answer the ten review questions.

 FCS-FNL-9. Students will identify careers in foods and nutrition.

 

ESSENTIAL QUESTION: What career opportunities are available in the food and nutrition science field?

Bellwork:  Applying for a job. Students will be put in groups of threes to read a section and answer the question.

Work Session: 1. Students will work on common assessment (100 questions).

2. Early finishers will revise 1^st job application. [work on career exploration vocabulary]

3 Time permitting: Finish career exploration presentations- student guided notes

 

Closing/Summarizer:  Pick three careers that got your interest; which one would you choose if you did not have a choice.
