Instructional Plan: 1. Complete Birth Defect Presentations: students will take notes on the presentations
2. Whole Group reading: Choices Magazine Article: Dyslexia-students will answer question at the end of the article.
3. Complete and discuss "Design a Child" activitiy..students answered 10 questions about model child and decorate the blank form.

Warm Up: Bellwork: Ask volunteers to share experiences they have had while babysitting or caring for younger brothers/sisters. Both pleasant and problem experiences. Any humorous events?
Instructional Plan: 1.TEST: Student -made Birth Defect Test: each group supplied two questions from their birth defect. Teacher will compile all the questions into one test.
Chapter 9 Meeting Children's Needs: Topic 9-1: Being a responsible caregiver-
9-4: Meeting Children's Intellectual Needs
2. Students will define the following words: caregiver, immunizations,communicable dieases, developmentally approriate practices [DAP], guidance
3. Students will answer Check it Out! questions: Topic9-1 through 9-4 {pg. 232 (1-4), 240 (1-4), 247 (1-4), 252 (1-3)}*write the questions and answers*
